Hart already has some great life skills. He leads over all the obstacles, including the water box. He loads and backs out of the trailer. He is handled daily and is a joy to work with. He begs for attention, he just knows that all visitors are here to see him, he gets that from his mom.
I am really excited about this colt’s future. He has a ton of presence and style about him. I can see roses in his future like his siblings. He should have good size and length of leg as well as a big body with that pretty, expressive head.
After his first 30 days, he will be turned out to grow up on the rolling Kentucky pasture. This allows him to grow up strong with good feet and strong bones. He will learn great social skills in the herd environment. At trimming time, he will take a short trip down the hill, to the barn, in the horse trailer. He will get his feet done and spend a day or so back in the barn. He will get a refresher when he comes in each time on the obstacles and taking a shower.
