Steel Della - 2023 Half Arabian Filly
Steel Della is a lovely 2023 Half Arabian Buckskin Filly. This beautiful baby has the best minded that I have worked with on a foal in a long time. She is just stellar.
Della is sired by White Steel our 36% Poco Buneo - Foundation AQHA Stallion. His first foals are already Champions in Ranch and Versatility. Her dam is a Champion in Western Pleasure and Halter. She was a natural Western horse with her soft gaits and easy temperament. She is the ultimate Amateur horse. Her sire is Sir Fames HBV and her dam is a Brazilian mare. So, it is no surprise that this buckskin beauty is such a natural performance prospect. See pics of White Steel here.
Della already has some great life skills. She leads over all the obstacles, including the water box. She loads and backs out of a trailer. She is handled daily and is a joy to work with. She begs for attention, she just knows that all visitors are here to see her.
I really enjoy working with her. She tries so hard to please. So calm and willing, curious and brave. I introduced the clippers in the video below and I really cannot believe how easy it was. Not that I am surprised, everything is easy with her. She is just a dream.
After her first 30 days, she was turned out to grow up on the rolling Kentucky pasture. This allows her to grow up strong with good feet and strong bones. She learned great social skills in the herd environment. At trimming time, she will took a short trip down the hill, to the barn, in the horse trailer. She got her feet done and spend a day or so back in the barn.
We love to handle our foals and give them a good, solid upbringing. We also firmly believe they need time to grow and play, so we offer them both.
