Quill already has some great life skills. She leads over all the obstacles, including the water box. He loads and backs out of a trailer. He is handled daily and is a joy to work with.
After his first 30 days, he was turned out to grow up on the rolling Kentucky pasture. This allows him to grow up strong with good feet and strong bones. He will learn great social skills in the herd environment. At trimming time, he will take a short trip down the hill, to the barn, in the horse trailer. He will get his feet done and spend overnight or so back in the barn. Now that he is weaned, he had another 30 days brush up in the barn and is now back in the pasture to play and grow.
